Privacy Policy

Lumen Health Tips (“Lumen”, “we”, “us”) sends short, general health and wellness tips by push notification and shows them in the app. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we don’t do with it.

Push notification data. To deliver your daily tips, your device registers a push token (a unique identifier issued by Apple or Google, not by us) along with your device’s timezone and the notification window you’ve chosen (or its default). We also keep a short log of which tips have been sent to your device, so we don’t send you the same one twice.

Account information, if you sign in. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional. If you choose to, we receive your name and email address from Apple/Google so we can keep your saved tips and preferences in sync across your devices. We never see your Apple or Google password.

What stays on your device. Which tips you’ve read, which you’ve saved, and which topics you follow are stored only in the app’s local storage on your device. We don’t receive or store this information on our servers unless you’re signed in and it’s needed purely to sync across your own devices.

What we don’t collect. We don’t collect health records, location, contacts, browsing activity, or advertising identifiers, and we don’t use any analytics or advertising SDKs.

Solely to send you health tip notifications on the schedule you’ve chosen, avoid repeating tips you’ve already received, and — if you’re signed in — keep your saves and preferences consistent across your devices. We do not sell, rent, or share your information for advertising or marketing purposes.

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, and share only what’s necessary for them to do their job:

• Supabase hosts our database and backend functions.
• Expo’s push service, and in turn Apple’s (APNs) and Google’s (FCM) push networks, deliver the actual notifications to your device.
• Apple or Google handle authentication if you choose to sign in — we only receive your name and email back from them.

We don’t work with advertising networks or data brokers.

You can turn off notifications at any time in your device Settings. If you’re signed in and want your account and associated data deleted, email us at arshh.azad@gmail.com and we’ll remove it. Uninstalling the app stops all notifications and clears everything stored locally on that device.

Lumen isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Lumen after a change means you accept the update.
